Pockets Warhol is a capuchin monkey with a very special talent. He is an artist/painter as well as a philanthropist.
Pockets lives on Story Book Farm a Monkey Sanctuary located in Sunderland, Ontario with 18 other primates.
Many of the monkeys came to live on the farm for peace and solace from a variety of backgrounds, some of them with stories too difficult to even to share, let alone survive.
Story Book Sanctuary is a place of healing and peace for these animals. They do not play with visitors, but they are encouraged to make friendships with one another.
The Sanctuary runs totally on donations as a fundraiser, The Pockets Warhol Art Collective show and sale will be held on Thursday April 6, 7-10 PM at the Papermill Gallery Toronto. Pockets collaborated with Artist Anita Kunz on some paintings that will be for sale, along with 80 other artists represented.
